Refrigeration operations
Discover how you can register your work on air conditioners, heat pumps and refrigeration systems.
The refrigeration operations are the activities that you can perform on installations that contain refrigerant.
Info
For the operation of Climapulse Service with regard to legislation, only four types of operations are relevant:
- Adding refrigerant to an installation; i.e. topping up
- Draining refrigerant from an installation; i.e. recovering
- Performing a leak test
- Performing an energy inspection
These operations determine what needs to be done. All other actions, including the “Repair” type, are, as far as the application is concerned, purely informative. For example, the real repair of a leak can only be demonstrated by performing a leak test.
We will briefly explain the most interesting types.
In advance
- The order of the actions is important to correctly calculate the leakage loss. You can change the order of an action via the arrows next to the action in the order form.
- Fields that are not filled in or checked will not be printed in the detailed version or on certificates.
Energy inspection
This only serves to indicate that an inspection or audit has been carried out with regard to the energy consumption of buildings. This allows Climapulse to determine the correct follow-up steps.
Any documents resulting from the software that must be used to register these inspections can be linked as an attachment.
Pressure test
You can easily register the details of a pressure test. A certificate can then be easily requested.
The data from your pressure gauge can be filled in automatically if the device has been registered in the Inventory.
Leak test
You can also easily enter the data and especially the conclusion of a leak test. The corresponding certificate will then be automatically generated by Climapulse.
Registering your leak detection equipment in the Inventory will save you a lot of time.
A leakage loss calculation is also performed during the leak test. Climapulse offers you a preliminary calculation, but as a technician you determine what the final registered leakage loss will be (e.g. because the Climapulse calculation still starts from the old nominal content). Administrators can use the reporting tools to check which calculations by technicians deviate from the calculations of the system.
Correcting a leakage loss calculation
If a leakage loss calculation needs to be corrected, you do this by changing the corresponding action. Please note that any subsequent leakage loss calculations will not be automatically adjusted.
Adding and draining coolant
The yin and yang of refrigeration operations! How to use these actions is explained in the article Registering actions with coolant.
Add coolant
In this action, you register which coolant cylinders you have used to top up the installation. A leakage loss calculation is also performed here.
Drain coolant
If you have recovered coolant from an installation, you register it via this action.
Generic action
Sometimes you do something crazy and colour outside the lines to help your customer. You quickly replace a lamp or fuse, or you take your ladder to remove the Christmas lights. You register these kinds of things via the Generic action.
