User Management

By granting access to your colleagues, they can also consult the necessary information and contribute.

Users

The Users section is accessible to both administrators and managers, but only administrators can make changes and invite new users.

 

New user

To add a colleague to the system:

  • Click on Users in the menu
  • Click on New
  • Fill in at least the required fields:
    • Name and first name
    • Function
    • Language
  • Press Save


Functions and roles

A user’s function has two purposes: determining where the user can be deployed within the application and what role he or she plays in it. You can combine multiple functions.

  • Technician: A user with the function technician can be selected as the executor of an assignment. Users without this function cannot act as a technician. However, a technician has limited access within Climapulse Service and cannot export data, view reports or forecasts, consult the inventory or use management tools such as settings and user management.

  • Manager: A manager has access to almost all functionalities, with the exception of the management tools.

  • Administrator: An administrator has full access to all functions within the application.

  • Account Manager: An account manager or admin has, in addition to all administrative rights, the ability to assign the Account Manager function to other users within the account.


Grant and revoke access

Adding your colleague to the system does not require you to grant them access to the system.

If you want to grant a new or existing user access:

  • Check Access to Climapulse Service
  • Enter the user’s email address
  • Enter a user name for the user
  • Select the correct language

After saving, the user will automatically receive an invitation to get started, as explained in the article “Logging in for the first time”.

The link in the invitation will expire automatically. If your colleague is too late to accept the invitation, you can invite them again:

  • Search for the user via Users
  • Press …
  • Select the option Invite
  • Confirm that you want to send them a new invitation

Revoking a user’s access is very easy:

  • Search for the user via Users
  • Choose the option to change the user
  • Uncheck Access to Climapulse Service


Deleting or deactivating users

As an account administrator, you can delete or deactivate unnecessary users. In general, it is best to opt for deactivation. After all, it is impossible to remove technicians who have carried out assignments, for example.
