Revoking access
If you choose to revoke the granted access, there are a few practical things you need to take into account.
Revoking access to shared data depends on the type of access granted and the time that has elapsed.
Access as an operator or installation manager
Revoking access from an operator or installation manager is only possible within 72 hours after the other party has taken over the data. If this data has already been shared with other accounts, that access will also be revoked.
Access as a subcontractor or borrowed
If you have shared the data with the access type “Subcontractor” or “Borrowed”, you can revoke that access at any time. Access granted by subcontractors to other parties will also be revoked.
Practical
Required: role Administrator
To revoke access to an individual installation, proceed as follows:
- Search for the installation and consult the detailed information
- At the bottom of the detailed information, you will find an overview in the access block with every account that you have granted access to the installation.
- Click open the desired item and press the Revoke access button.
If you want to revoke access to all data in a share, you can use the Share installations module and search for the share for the relevant connection. Press Revoke….
Revoking access to a share is also possible after the 72-hour limit has expired, but this only ensures that all data that has not yet been transferred is blocked and that access to installations that meet the above rules is revoked. Installations that were transferred more than 72 hours ago remain accessible to the other party.
What if your access is revoked?
If you have not yet processed the data that was shared with you, you will no longer be able to do so. If the data has already been processed, any customer, location or building data that was transferred will remain untouched, but you will lose access to the installation.
What does this mean?
- The installation is archived and can only be unarchived by regaining access.
- You can no longer make changes to the installation or related commands, actions and measurements.
- You will continue to have access to the installation and the related information that was available at the time that access was revoked. You will not see any subsequent changes or work.
