Manage access

Access to the customer portal can be set at different levels by Climapulse Service users.

Access to the customer portal can be set at different levels. Let’s start with the most common setting.

Info

The application will never send an email to the customer regarding their access to the customer portal. As their supplier, you are best placed to inform them about its operation and purpose.

Level: Customer

If you want to give the customer insight into all their locations and installations, you enable access to the customer portal at the customer.

  • Search for the customer via the Customers menu.
  • Press the pencil to change the customer
  • Check the option Enable Customer Portal.
  • Press Save

You can then read the authorization code and the link to your customer portal in the customer details. The customer can log in to the customer portal with this authorization code.

Level: Location

You can further restrict access to the level of a single location. The operation is identical. The only differences are:

  • Search for the location and make the changes there.
  • Provide the authorization code of that location to your customer or the local responsible person

You can also combine this type of access with the access at the customer level.

Level: Installation

When setting the access at the location level, you can choose to further restrict that access to the level of individual installations.

With this setting, the authorization code for logging into the customer portal is only valid if a valid token is also entered. The token is a unique code for the installation that is generated once by Climapulse Service. In other words, a visitor to the customer portal must have two secrets to gain access.

Regenerate authorization code

If the authorization code has fallen into the wrong hands, you can generate a new code. Next to the authorization code for customers and locations, you will find a link Regenerate authorization code. Click on this and follow the instructions. You will then be able to read the new code; give it to the customer.

Revoke access

To revoke access, follow the same steps as above and disable access to the customer portal. The corresponding authorization code can then no longer be used to log into the customer portal.
