Knowledge base and attachments
It can be very useful to use attachments. Think of images, maps, manuals, maintenance contracts, … You can add attachments to customers, locations, installations and orders.
You can do this by clicking on Attachments at the top right.
You have the option to:
- add a new document
- select an existing document from the knowledge base
If you choose option 1, you can select and upload a file from your computer/tablet/smartphone. If you choose option 2, you can search for and select the file from the knowledge base.
Sharing attachments
When you link attachments to a customer, installation, or location, you can easily share them with the customer via the customer portal.
To share an attachment, you must ensure that it is made public by making the lock green. This can easily be done by the technician who uploaded the attachment. Simply click the gray lock to turn it green, and the attachment is shared.
• Green lock: attachment is shared
• Gray lock: attachment is not shared
Upload files
You can upload different file types, but please note that your file must be max. 25MB. The most common file formats such as images, pdf, powerpoints, spreadsheets, … are supported.
Do you still get an error message? Then your file will be too large or the format will not be supported.
Knowledge base
All documents that you add as a new attachment within Climapulse will be added to the Knowledge base. You can also add files to the knowledge base without them being linked to an item. To add a new document, click on New > Add document at the top right.
You can also create folders within the knowledge base. For example, you can make a distinction between years or types of documents. To create a folder, click on New > Add folder at the top right.
