FAQ

Should we share installation data?

We recommend sharing installation data with other parties where necessary and useful. You and your customers will then have a single, digital and uninterrupted logbook.

The initial reaction from suppliers is often that this is an advantage for the other party; you have invested time and effort in digitizing installation data and the other party can start working on it with a simple push of a button. But remember that this will also apply in the other direction.

Why can’t I forward an installation to another party without a request?

The available functionality is the result of years of preparation and months of work. In order to be able to offer installation sharing, the entire underlying platform was tackled. In addition, the operation had to meet 3 criteria:

  • Simple
In any case, as simple as possible, taking into account the following factors.
  • Specific
Sometimes you share an entire customer, in other cases you work with surgical precision.
  • Secure
You must be 100% certain that you share your data with the expected organization.

That resulted in the current functionality. We expect to provide extensions in the future that, for example, no longer require you to first receive a request before you can share installations with a subcontractor.

Are new installations shared automatically?

No. If an installation has to be shared, this must be done explicitly. It can’t be helped: even if you can make customer and/or location data available, this is only a copy of that data made at the time you share it. There is no further link between that copy and the original customer or location. Only the installations are linked.

Why does our account need to be synchronized?

The functionality for sharing and archiving installations is only available on the most recent account types. In order to use it, your account must be switched to an equivalent account type. Because Climapulse has never increased the prices for old subscriptions, this may incur an additional cost.
