Address and Building Validation

For both VEKA and EPB-Desk it is necessary that addresses and buildings are officially identified. In order to ensure that certificates can be generated, addresses must be validated via the VEKA and EPB-Desk servers.

What if the address is unknown or cannot be found?

VEKA provides the following information about this

Only when the address is actually non-existent, the report cannot be automatically forwarded to VEKA. Do you encounter such a situation? Then send the details of the report with the unknown address to veka@vlaanderen.be. Use the subject “Notification heating appliances address non-existent“.

You can bundle multiple addresses of certificates under one email.

Common errors in addresses and how to correct them

It is important that addresses are entered correctly for smooth processing. Below are some examples of incorrectly entered addresses and the correct way to enter them:

  • Error: Kempische steenweg 309 – 2.02        –> Correct: Kempische steenweg 309 bus 2.02
  • Error: Kempische steenweg 309 (unit 10)    –> Good: Kempische steenweg 309

 

Make sure you use the correct address format to avoid delays or problems when forwarding your report.

Keep location address

If an address has not yet been validated, this is the first step. The process works as follows:

  • Select the region: The region is set to the installer’s location by default.
  • Select the city: This field has an autocomplete function.
  • Select the street: This field also has an autocomplete function.
  • Enter the house number: The house number has an autocomplete function with the option to add a bus number. add

 

Adjust location address

If an address cannot be validated because it is not in the official registers, there are two options:

  • Abort: Stop the process
  • Manual entry: Enter the address manually.

 

Validate building (and unit)

The next step, or the first step if the address has already been validated, is to validate the building and possibly the unit:

  • Select the building: This can be done by clicking on the map or from a dropdown menu.
  • Use existing data: If you validate from an existing building, the name will be filled in automatically.

You can also go back to the previous step to change the address by clicking on the pencil icon.
