Q&A
Are we obligated to share installation data?
We recommend to share data with third parties when it’s useful or required. Both you and your customers will have access to a single, digital, continuous installation log.
Most service companies’ initially consider this as an advantage to the party requesting access. They’ve put in the time and effort in digitizing the installation data and the third party can simply get up and running by pressing a button. Be mindful, however, that this goes both ways; other times you’ll be the party requesting access.
Why can’t I just send an installation to another account?
The current functionality is the result of years of preparation and months of effort. To provide you with the option of sharing installations, we needed to revise the entire underlying platform. We also required any solution to meet 3 criteria:
- Simple
At least as simple as possible, when taking into account the next factors. - Specific
Sometimes you want to share an entire set of customer data and sometimes you want to be very precise and only grant access to a single installation. - Secure
You need a way to be 100% certain you’re sharing data with the people you’re expecting to.
We expect future expansions, for example to ease sharing of installations with subcontractors.
Why does our account need to be equalized?
Sharing and archiving installations is only available to current account types. To be able to use these features your account will need to be converted into an equivalent current account type. Because Climapulse never raised the prices on existing subscriptions, even as far back as 2009, this might result in an increased subscription price.
